Two balls

  • Basic
    • pound, pistons

Lateral

Dribble laterally towards a defender to protect the ball, or away from a defender to create separation or freeze them. See

Up and Back

One ball then two balls, halfcourt or cross-court, fullcourt. I like to start with a halfcourt continuous "footwork" ballhandling series, using short quick steps, and add wrap and spin dribbles going fullcourt.

Cones

Use zig-zag cones or a line of cones to work on secondary moves (changes of direction). A cone line can also be used for primary moves (inside-out, hesitation), behind-the-back wraps, and weaving. Cones can be tight or loose.

Attack the basket

Attack from the wings and out top with each hand, using e.g. a hesitation, Iverson cross, scissor and dribble-jab series. Start with layups then shots, e.g. freeze pull-ups, stepbacks, pullbacks, crossover jumpers.
