- v-cut and run to meet passes (shorten them)
- catch and face upcourt
- establish a strong pivot foot, get low and wide (don’t turn your back)
- sweep the floor with the ball or swing it overhead (don’t hold the ball overhead or in front of your torso)
- use pass fakes (e.g., fake high and pass low)
- pass with both feet on the floor
- use a pull-back dribble (and crossover) to beat defenders or create a passing angle
