| | Off-Season Workouts Driveway Shooting Basketball Manitoba has a series of Driveway Drills for kids on YouTube. While it helps to have a double driveway, you can get in a good workout by shooting from out top on a single driveway, covering the types of shots listed in Off-Season Workouts based on age and skill level. For older players, here are some good driveway (or gym) options using (or adapted to) restricted space, starting from out top or going elbow to elbow. The drills cover catch and shoot (spot-up, transition, square-up) and shots off the dribble, including one-dribble and two-dribble pull-ups, stop separation, regular stepbacks, drag pullbacks, other stepbacks (misdirection, extended, touch, crossover), side steps, floaters, hesi pulls (lift, skip), and ballscreens. Split catch, drop, hip switch and body jab & shimmy moves are used. Combine with some stationary ballhandling and finishing drills to cover a wide range of basic and advanced skills.
