Drop move

  • HSNA – How to drop
    • Dribble foot in front, four options – drop and go, drop and cross, drop and shoot (step up), drop and pullback

Hip swivel

    • Into a load-up position out of triple threat or a live dribble, e.g. from closed stance b) triple threat, pound into dribble pocket, b) live dribble, counter – crossover (like an Iverson crossover)

Stop separation

Speed stop

  • DJ – Speed stop exchange #1
    • Inside-outside stop, behind the back, foot replacement, shot
  • DJ – Speed stop exchange #2
    • Speed stop exchange, drop the inside foot into a drive stance (drop), drive, step into a shot, or crossover drive
  • DJ – Speed stop exchange #3
    • Speed stop exchange, elongated stepback
  • DJ – Speed stop
    • From top of the key, live-dribble drop, speed stop at elbow, show shot (hips rise, off hand comes toward the ball), push out and finish

Drag pullback

  • Impossible training – Cross step drag move
    • Left to right crossover dribble and step, cross drag pullback (right to left), drop the feet, attack with the left hand

Iverson crossover

  • Augie – 2 similar crossovers
    • Iverson crossover then between the legs
    • Iverson crossover, float and take steps (not glide), betweenup

Spin seal

  • DJ – Spin seal move
    • Speed stop exchange, sell a pull-out dribble, pound dribble and spin seal (drop step reverse dribble) (progression – spin seal to drag to drop, see spin seal workout)
  • DJ – Spin seal workout
    • Spin seal - facing away on the foul line, two dribbles with the left hand, on the second dribble drop the left foot and change hands, bring the right foot around, step left-right with one dribble, finish with the right hand (outside hand off outside foot)
    • Spin seal to punch drag (punch dribble, foot replacement), pull (shoot)
    • Spin seal to under drag (under the leg; can punch dribble first), push back to a drop, attack 1-2 with the other hand, pull
    • Ballscreens – cross-step dribble from drop - go, or spin seal, progression – spin seal to under drag to drop (could then repeatup

Lateral separation

  • Collin – Mastering the crossover
    • In and out lateral crossovers (shuffle), in and out pullbacks, in and out backwards hesitate behind the back forward (wrap)
  • By Any Means – Curry workout
    • Curry uses a ton of wraps.
    • Continuous wrap behind shuffle (10 on each side), then in and out wrap shuffle
    • Shooting - in and out wrap 3s (shuffle, 2 dribbles), in and out wrap stepbacks (3 dribbles), in and out wrap inverted snatch (3 dribbles), behind the back glide behind the back snatch (2 dribbles)

    • In and out pull, drop cross hesi (glide) pull,
    • lateral behind pull (kick step), push cross to lateral space, yo-yo (cut) dribble to lateral pull, wrap stepback (extra dribble or not),

Shifty ballhandling

    • Bouncy on toes, shifting weight east to west (glide, can start with a push-out), attack

    • Switch hands, hesi, cross
    • Switch hands, hesi, reverse pullback (under the leg), change hands

  • EGT – Nasty hesi
    • Let the ball hang in your hand for a second, keep the ball on the side, off hand is active
    • Hard pound dribbles, push-out dribble, hang, one dribble to a pullupup
