1 on 1
At each basket

sketch
1
Continuous 1-on-1, three or more players at each basket, two players play to a stop or score, the defender gets the ball, dribbles outside the outside the 3-point line and attacks immediately against a new defender without checking the ball (rotate defender-attacker-off).

Other player rotation options are

- the attacker stays on a score (make-it take-it against a new defender), the defender switches to attack on a stop
- make-it take-it against a new defender, on a stop the two players stay and switch.

Variations

- both players can rebound a miss and shoot, play to a score
- king's court (with two or more baskets)
- the attacker passes to coach, gets a return pass.

coachesclipboard.ca - in continuous 1-on-1 there is no checking from the top, on a stop or score the defender gets the ball, spins it out beyond the arc, goes out to meet the pass, squares up, plays from there. Players must go from offence to defence and vice versa in a more game-like way.

See 1 on 1 - Pitino, King's court, Nash, Multiple (rotate attacker-defender-off), Tom Crean, Scrimmage - Cut-throat offence.
