Zone offence High-low basics
| 1 From a 1-3-1 set, 1 passes to 2 and spaces away, into a high-low (e.g. against a passive zone).
Can be used against any zone defence, and man-to-man defence.
See Zone offence - High-low.
|
| 2 Reverse the ball through 4 stepping out (shown), or skip pass, or 4 can ballscreen for 2.
Option - 4 can step out and stay, for a 4-out 1-in set.
See Zone offence - Grinnell.
|
| 3 Get into another high-low when 3 gets the ball, here 1 is a better shooter than 2, and cuts to the weakside wing, 2 moves up to the reversal spot.
|
| 4 A 1-4 entry can be used if 4 and 5 are interchangeable, here 1 passes to 3, 4 dives and 5 fills, into high-low.
|
| 5 On an entry pass to one post, the other dives, 1 spaces.
|
| 6 4 and 5 can x-cut on ball reversal, the high post goes first.
2 spaces away (unless 5 does not come up high, then 2 stays ballside).
See Zone offences - Geno Auriemma (1-4 set), Hubie Brown 1-4, also Offence - High-low.
