Fast break
Izzo halfcourt 3 on 2, 2 on 1

Tom Izzo

a) 3 on 2

1-2-3 attack 4-5, play to a stop or score, keep or rotate defenders. Attackers must shoot in two passes at most. If a wing gets an advance pass he should make something happen, don't drop dribble (dribble on the spot). 1 goes to the ballside arc, there is no better pass than inside-out, you are already square to the basket.

b) 2 on 1

Attackers must shoot with one pass at most, 1 keeps the ball in his outside hand, low and in front, his options are layup, short jump shot, or pass to 2.
Brian McCormick - one shot, the shooter stays to defend.

See Transition - 3 on 2, 2 on 1, Attack/defend - 2 on 1, 3 on 2 vs coach.
