| 1 Coach K
1 dribbles fullcourt for a lay-up, defenders 2 and 3 chase when 1 gets to the near foul line
coaching.fibaeurope.com, Dick Bennett - 2 and 3 go on a signal from coach. Fabian McKenzie - 1 vs 2, 2 vs 1 - 2 and 3 go a second signal from coach, play to a make or missed shot (one shot only). (Variation - 2 and 3 try to back-tip the ball) Brian McCormick - three lines on the baseline, balls in the middle (attackers), 1 on 2 fullcourt, next group goes (or 2 on 1 back). Shaka Smart - 4 on 4 triangle fast break - 1 starts with the ball, 2 and 3 chase to back-tip, 1 can't pass until he gets to halfcourt, then it's 4 on 4 live. |

| 2 1 defends a two on one coming back (a situation the safety, who is often a point guard, gets into in a match). He wants to get under the basket and prevent a layup. Offensively, the dribbler wants to make 1 commit.
coaching.fibaeurope.com - 2 and 3 must inbounds the ball if 1 scores. |
