Shooting Hurley curl-pop-fade
| 1 Bob Hurley
A passer and shooter on each side, with a chair (or cone) as a screen, take three shots then switch shooters. Catch and shoot first time through, the second time take one dribble. The progression is
1) Curl - the defender is trailing, curl the screen, the passer takes one dribble away to create a better passing angle, and makes a bounce pass.
Make it a wide curl for the one-dribble shot. |
| 2 b) Pop - the defender gets stuck on the screen, pop straight out, the passer chest passes (the quickest pass), square up.
For a one-dribble pull-up, shot fake and go depending on how the defender comes out.
|
| 3 c) Fade - the defender starts to cheat and take the top-side of the screen, fade away, the passer dribbles toward the shooter and makes a two-hand overhead pass. |
