No teams. There is a line of players on each sideline, when the ball crosses halfcourt, a player from one line (the chasers) comes in as a trailing or delay defender, and a player from the other line comes on to defend the next 2-on-1 going the other way.

1 and 2 attack defender 3, when the ball crosses halfcourt, "chaser" 4 sprints into the middle of the centre circle then defends with 3, 8 comes on to defend the next attack.

There is only one shot, defenders 3 and 4 get the ball and attack the other basket, 1 and 2 go off (alternate lines), chaser 5 comes in when the ball crosses halfcourt, and 9 comes on to defend the next attack.

One shot only, defenders 8 and 5 will get the ball and attack 9, chaser 6 come on to defend with 9, and 7 come on to defend the other basket.

See Transition - 2 on 1 outlet, 3 on 3 delay.
