Pistons 3 on 3 continuous

Herb Brown

Start with 3 on 3 halfcourt, other players are behind the baselines [or on a sideline]. On a stop or score, the defenders attack the other way against three new defenders who rotate up to wait for them as they cross halfcourt. Rotation is defend, attack, go off.

The former attackers leave to the near baseline.

- 4 on 4 continuous, or 5 on 5
- four teams, 4 on 4 or 3 on 3 continuous, play to 5 or 7 stops, winners get water and shoot free throws, losers play to 3 or 5 stops.

(Other variations)

- a team that scores keeps the ball and attacks the other way (make-it, take-it)
- inbound the ball after a score, allow pressing back to halfcourt
- allow pressing after a score or stop.

See Scrimmage - 4 teams, 4 on 4 on 4.
