Also see Fast breaks - Spurs 2007, Spurs 2014, Spurs 2004/05. a) Swing the ball to 3, 5 changes sides, 1 and 4 stagger screen for 2, 1 keeps going to the corner. 2 can curl or flare the last screen. If X4 helps on 2, 4 can slip for a pass. 3 looks for a post entry. |
 | 2 If 2 is overplayed, look for a pass to 4 then 2 cuts to the basket. |
 | 3 If they don't get anything off a pass to 2, 4 can ballscreen (see below, and Spurs 2014). |
 | 4 Or the Spurs will get into Horns, 5 comes up and 3 slides down, on a pass to 4 or 5, 2 will cut around to the basket (shown), or screen for 3 or 1. See Pinch post. |
 | 5 Here 2 passes to 5 and screens for 3 to get a hand-off, 4 screens for 1. |
 | 6 Here 2 passes to 5 and screens away for 1, 4 makes it a stagger screen, 5 can pass to 1 and ballscreen (shown), or make a dribble hand-off. |
 | 7 Here 5 picks and rolls, 4 goes low then replaces. |
 | 8 b) Single screen If 2 is in the opposite corner, 4 can - pass to 3 and set a single screen for 1 (shown) - dribble hand-off to 1. |
 | 9 If they don't get anything on the pass to 1, 4 can ballscreen. |
 | 10 c) Pinch post 1 clears to the other side after screening for 2. |

 | 12 d) 1 and 4 stagger screen, 1 uses 4's screen (instead of 2 using the screen). Ballscreen or get into horns if 1 has no play. See Offence - Tennessee playbook (play call #3). |
 | 13 e) 2 curls the stagger, does not get a pass, keeps going, 4 pops out. |
 | 14 3 passes to 4, who can shoot, or make a dribble hand-off to 1 (or pass and ballscreen). 1 backcuts if overplayed, 2 sprints up for a dribble hand-off. See Offence - High-low basics. |
 | 15 f) Instead of screening for 2, 1 can sprint to the ballside corner. |
 | 16 If the ball goes to the corner 5 backscreens for 3 then sets a ballscreen. Option - 3 passes to 1 and stays, 5 seals for a pass inside. |
 | 17 g) Dribble pitch Charlotte Bobcats - instead of passing to 3, 4 makes a dribble hand-off to 2 coming off 1's screen.  |
