 | 8 d) 3 on 2 His favourite shooting drill, it's game-like because there is defence and decision-making - drive, pass, or shoot. Defenders X1-X2 pass to attackers 1-2-3, who can drive and kick or pass for a catch-and-shoot 3 (there are no pull-ups, mid-range shots or layups). One shot only, rotate players on each possession. (Variation - allow drives for open layups) Progression - 3 on 3 wildcat - add a third defender, no shot restrictions, but all catches must be outside the 3-point line or on a direct cut to the basket (e.g. no passes to players cutting away from the basket inside the 3-point line).
