Condition by doing shooting drills, shoot free throws to rest. Always have a "touch spot" that players go to (run, back pedal) before moving into their shot. Catch the ball with your feet. Inside pivot if you know you have a shot, catch with the pivot foot already square to the basket (or you must now square it, and the trail foot has to cover a long distance to catch up). Permanent pivot foot if you are attacking one on one.
The first player doesn't have a ball (see team Catch and shoot).
a) 1 sprints to touch the baseline, comes back to the front of the rim for a pass from 2, shoots. 2 sprints after passing.
Option - add a guided defender or blocking pad. |
