If the other team has a big defender camped in the lane, his man should look to ballscreen for any perimeter player with the ball.
a) Corner
1 passes to 5 and basket cuts, 4 comes across, 5 passes to 3 and basket cuts. 2 replaces 4 on the wing, 1 replaces 2 in the corner. |
| 2 4 picks and rolls. |
| 3 b) Elbow
5 screens down for 2, 3 clears to the corner, 5 replaces 3, 1 passes to 2 and comes off looking for a handback.

| 4 4 picks and rolls, 3 lifts to the wing, 5 clears to the corner.

| 5 c) Double high
4 and 5 ballscreen for 1, 1 uses 5's screen, 5 rolls to the basket.

| 6 On a pass to 4, 2 lifts and 5 clears into the open-post set.

| 7 d) Sixer
1 dribbles over, 2 screens for 5 then clears to the weakside wing, 5 picks and rolls, 4 lifts behind the screen.

| 8 e) Step-out
4 and 5 screen for 2 and 3, who pop to the wings. 1 passes to 2, 4 clears weakside, 5 sets a step-up ballscreen with his shoulders facing halfcourt. He can pick and roll, or step behind the arc for a 3-point shot (European teams).

| 9 f) Sidescreen
1 passes to 2, 5 clears weakside, 1 downscreens for 4 who ballscreens (1 goes weakside block).
