Nets dribble drive

X's and O's of Basketball

The New Jersey Nets usually set up in a 4-out 1-in with a forward on the weakside block. The dribbler initiates the action by dribbling towards one of the corner/wing players, who comes at the dribbler, they execute a handoff, options are shoot the jumper off the handoff screen, drive to the basket, or drive to another handoff. If they run another iteration, they will reverse the direction of the flow and go towards the backside. 5 is behind the basket looking to see which way the action is so that he can pick which way to go so that he and his defender are out of the way in case the dribbler attacks the net.

See Vance Walberg dribble-drive attack.
