See the 3-out 2-in high-low motion offence, which is great but not enough, it can become too predictable, so they run entries into motion.

Thumbs Up

Get the ball to the first side, second side, and back to the middle. Up is on the right, down is on the left.

1 dribbles left, crosses over and dribbles at 2's defender, 2 goes backdoor to the weakside, 3 curls off screens by 5 and 4 to the ballside low post (3 can bump and fade 4's screen if X3 goes under).

4 steps out for a pass in the sweet spot at the top, 5 pins down for 2, with his back where he wants 2 to go. 2 can curl or bump and fade. If X2 goes ballside, 5 flashes high, setting a moving screen on X2, looking for the ball.

4 passes to 2, 3 flashes to the ball then backscreens for 4 and steps out (Kansas or Carolina break).

On a pass to 3, 4 cross-screens for 5, who always goes under, step inside if defenders switch.

2 and 1 must be high and wide on the Kansas screen so their defenders can't help on the post.

3 passes to 1 and cuts to the weakside corner, 4 flashes high into high-low motion.

Illinois

1 passes to 2, 4 backscreens for 1 who cuts and goes to the weakside short corner, 5 flashes to the ballside block. 2 looks for 1 or 5 (who could feed 1).

A backscreen by weakside 5 has more chance of being called a moving screen.

On a pass to 4, 3 and 1 interchange, brushing off each other.

3 keeps going on a pass to 1, cross-screening for 5, then 4 downscreens for 3. 5 goes baseline every time, you want to get a layup, post with both feet in the lane, so 5 has to start outside the lane.

2005 - 4 acts like he is downscreening, 3 backscreens for 4 (cross-screen, backscreen).

5 and 4 duck in hard on a pass to 3 out top, reversal from 3 to 2 would get into motion.

Illini

1 passes to 2, cuts to the strongside corner, 5 steps across his defender (or his man could run through a pass), flashes high, catches a pass with a cheat step for balance, his looks are shot, dump, reverse.

5 passes to 3, 2 shuffle cuts off 4 to the weakside block and posts.

4 and 5 stagger screen for 1.

3 passes to 1, 4 and 5 stagger for 2 then find the ball.

On a pass to 2, 1 would cut weakside into motion.

Blue

A three-point shot, here for 3.

From a 1-4 set, 1 dribbles at 3, who zipper cuts using 5.

1 passes to 3 above the elbow and cuts weakside using 4. 2 L-cuts, 5 fadescreens for 3 on the pass to 2.

3 fades off 5, 2 passes to 3 over the top then cuts weakside into motion, 5 rolls to post.
