Offence Argentina motion
| 1 Argentina is a triangle motion offence.
1 passes to 2, basket cuts, screens away for 5, then goes back out top off a downscreen from high-post 4 (pick the picker), who then goes to the weakside low post.
Winning Hoops - 5 always goes under the cross screen.
Variations
- 1 cuts off high-post 4 - 4 steps out to ballscreen for 1.
See other entry options below. |
| 2 On ball reversal to 1, 3 downscreens for 4.
Winning Hoops - 5 ducks in on the pass, if 1 can't pass to 5 he dribbles towards 3 to signal the downscreen. |
| 3 On the pass to 4, 3 screens away for 5 and 1 downscreens for 3.
Note that 5 always runs the baseline, the other four players rotate through each position, and the wing screens twice on each reversal.
If the pass to 4 is denied, 3 backscreens for 4, or flashes to the foul line for a pass and 4 cuts backdoor. |
| 4 The pattern continues when 4 passes to 3, as 2 downscreens for 1. |
| 5 Entry options
a) Dribble push
2 backcuts if overplayed, then screens for 5, changing places with 1. |
| 6 b) 3-out 2-in set
