Inbounds Baseline Oakland
| 1 Greg Kampe
1)
They basically run the same play every time, for a layup.
2 is a shooter, takes one step towards the ball, 5 and 4 screen for him, with 4 halfway between the lane line and the 3-point line. |
| 2 5 turns and asks for the ball, 4 dives to the basket for a pass.
The play works because the other team doesn't want to give 2 a shot. Once you get the slip by 4, they're going to honour that, then you get the shot by 2.
See Inbounds - baseline Golden State (lob), Auriemma zone. |
| 3 2) Baseline lob to 1
The best passer inbounds, 2 is a shooter, coach yells at him "shoot it as soon as you catch it".
1 runs around 4 who then screens for 2, 5 forces his way to the ballside block, 1 runs under like he's not doing anything, 3 looks at the shooter, lobs it to 1.
Kampe doesn't call timeout if the other team goes on an 8-0 run, he substitutes. |
