 | 2 4 passes to 3, 2 runs the baseline off 1 and 5, 4 downscreens for 1. The pattern is similar to flex except that 5 would be in the corner. If 3 passes to 1, 4 can come back up to set a ballscreen (Aris Salonique). If 3 passes to 2, run triangle motion (Argentina). If 2's defender cheats on 1's screen, 2 rejects the screen and cuts up using 4's downscreen, 1 cuts baseline off 5. Variations - 1 backscreens for 4 (CSKA Moscow) - 2 always cuts up off 4, 1 cuts baseline off 5 (45 Zagreb and Benetton, Argentina 2003) - on a pass from 3 to 2, 5 cross screens for 4 who sets a ballscreen. |
