If X3 hedges, 3 will be wide open.
coachesclipboard.ca - if X3 hard hedges on the ballscreen, 5 can just cut down the lane and 3 cuts to the other side of the floor as if he had received the flarescreen. If 1 uses 5, see Horns - Basic for options. |

a)
5 ballscreens if 1 has no play. Chris Oliver - 5 re-screens for 3 to come back, |
| 5 Variation (76ers) - reverse it and flow into a dribble handoff.

5 goes right into a ballscreen without setting a flarescreen for 3.
This can be a pick and pop, e.g., if 5 can shoot.

3 doesn't set a ballscreen for 1, he just sprints into a flare cut using 5's screen.
X3 is expecting a ballscreen. Chris Oliver - Horns clear - 1 attacks the gap created by 3.

France - Tony Parker doesn't even look for 3 coming off the flarescreen, 3 curls it, they just re-screen.
