 | 2 4 looks inside. On ball reversal to 3, 5 comes across, 2 and 4 stagger screen for 1, 2 cuts to get inside cutter 1, 4 cleans up defender X1. If 3 passes to 5, 4 rebounds weakside. |
 | 3 If the ball is reversed to 2, 1 cuts to either corner, 5 comes high into a high-low offence where 4 and 5 play in the middle third of the floor. See Bill Self high-low motion. |
 | 4 Here 1 pitches ahead to 2 and goes to the opposite corner. |
 | 5 On ball reversal to 3, 4 downscreens for 2 and reads X2. If X2 goes ballside, 4 takes a step to screen him in and 2 flares; if X2 trails, 4 holds his screen. The cutter should catch behind the screener's back. |
 | 6 If 2 has no shot, 4 can come back out to ballscreen, or 4 posts, 2 drives the open wing, 5 comes high into the offence, and 3 and 1 interchange on a pass to 5. Look for a hi-lo pass if 4 is fronted. |
 | 7 If 1 doesn't pitch it ahead, he drives across halfcourt, passes to 4, it's an automatic ballscreen, 4 passes to 3 and follows for a pick and roll, 5 ducks in from the weakside. 1 can interchange with 2, or sprint to the other corner (shown) and slide up behind 3 on the pick and roll.  | 8 If 1 passes to 4 and interchanges with 2, then 4 can pick and flare, there is nobody below him. |
 | 9 Cross On the call, 4 gets ahead of the ball above the block opposite 5. If 1 wants to 2 to be the scorer, he drives at 2, getting defender X2 up in the passing lane. Then 1 crosses over, 3 cuts over the top across the foul line, 5 and 4 screen for 2. 4 reads the first screen to clean up X2 then reads X2 again to hold or readjust his screen. 2 will curl or fade the last screen. |
 | 10 To get into the offence, 1 sets below or goes through. |
 | 11 2 and 5 stagger for 1. If 1 had cut to the other corner, then 5 would be downscreening for 2 on the pass to 3. Option - 5 follows the pass to ballscreen. |
 | 12 Here 1 gets a pass off the stagger, reverses the ball and goes opposite. |
