Backdoor plays combat teams that deny entry passes or have defenders who focus on the ball.
1 passes to 4 and basket cuts to the corner, 3 cuts through to the other corner.
4 passes to 2 and cuts off 5's high-post screen after making sure that 3 is already heading out to the corner.
One side of the floor is now overloaded, creating space for a backdoor play. 5 steps out for a pass from 2, pivots and starts to dribble across the top, then 1 blast cuts at the ball and backcuts. A pass should be made after the first dribble.
