 | 1 Tubby Smith 1-4 set a) Shooter 1 1 passes to 2, cuts up the middle and puts his head under the basket, 2 dribbles middle. |
 | 2 5 single screens for 1, 3 and 4 stagger screen on the other side (4 is clean-up). 1 can use the single or double, 3 empties out the other side. |
 | 3 On a pass to 1, 5 comes high (the posts play high-low), 2 screens away for 3. |
 | 4 If the ball is reversed from 1 to 3 to 2, 3 cuts up the middle, 2 brings the ball to the middle, there is a single-double screen for 3. |
 | 5 b) Shooter 2 1 passes to 2 and follows to ballscreen, or 1 dribble hand-offs with 2, who dribbles middle. |
 | 6 2 passes to 3 and cuts to the basket, 3 centres the ball, there is a single-double for 2. Shooter 3 is the same play for 3. |
 | 7 4-out motion One big stays inside, opposite the ball, always fill the four outside spots, keep spacing of 18 to 21 feet. 1 can pass to 2 and cut through, screen away, or ballscreen. On a ballscreen, 4 and 3 screen for each other on the weakside. |
 | 8 If 2 passes to 3, 5 crosses the lane. Here 2 screens away for 1, then comes back out to the slot when 1 curls the screen. |
