Layups Bill Self backdoor

| 1 Bill Self
a) Wing
5 downscreens for 3, who breaks to the wing, 5 flashes back up. 3 must get above the level of the ball. |

| 2 Coach passes to 5 as he is stepping out (not posting), 3 backcuts, 5 drops steps and passes with his outside hand. Continue then change sides.
Option - use a dummy defender on the cutter. |

| 3 b) High-post
5 flashes high, 2 takes one bounce at 5's defender, 5 backcuts, cutting across his defender's body. The further out 5 takes his defender, the more room for a bad pass. He can't go backdoor until 2 dribbles. |

| 4 c) Single-side
In a game situation there would also be ballside low-post and corner attackers. 5 pops out for a pass, inside-foot pivot (with cheat step), his looks are shot, dump (inside), reverse. It's an automatic one-dribble backdoor if 2 is not open. |
