Sideline Rose X-out
 | 1 Lee Rose 3 breaks, 2 breaks, 5 downscreens, 1 breaks out top. 4 moves to the near block after passing. Tom Izzo - post iso - the inbounder steps inbounds, 5 turns and seals for a post-up, the lane is cleared out for him. Kyle Gilreath - 3 runs off a screen from 2 who then clears to the far corner, 4 looks for 5 breaking back to the ball unless they need a 3-point shot. Brendan Malone - after screening, 5 cuts back to the ball as a safety valve in case 4 can't pass to 1. The X play can be run as a backcourt side-out to break 3/4-court pressure. |
 | 2 Option - 5 comes back to pick and roll with 1, 2 and 3 spot up in the corners. Can be used to get off a 3-point shot, including a pick-and-pop by 5. Variation - after an inbounds pass on the right sideline, 4 cuts to the weakside block, allowing a right-hand ballscreen. |
