Woodley 1 on 1 from ballscreen
 | 1 Matt Woodley Out of their pack-line defence (no baseline). Always go over the top of middle and step-up ballscreens. "Black" means switch all dribble hand-offs and ballscreen (use black in all 2-on-2, 3-on-3 and 4-on-4 in practice). For no-middle (pressure) defence, see Defence - Woodley ballscreens, Defending - Woodley 2 on 2 ballscreens (go under most of the time). 1) 3 is the attacker, X3 the defender. a) X3 is in the gap, closer to the ball than his man, in a closed stance. 5 screens for 1 who comes off, X1 goes over (always), 5 rolls, X3 tags the roller (with one hand), 3 comes up. |
 | 2 1 passes to 3, X3 closes out, it's live 1-on-1, two dribbles, everybody else gets out of the way. Close out with one hand up, one hand down, not two hands up in the air, you're going to get beat in a straight line. |
