Defending Husky closeouts

| 1 Mike Neighbors
Three defenders start in the paint, when coach dribbles from halfcourt, one defender takes the ball, the other two get to gap positions. |

| 2 Coach passes to a wing, the defence adjusts, the offence passes and dribbles, only the ballhandler can attack inside the arc, with no ballscreens.
See Defending - Dick Bennett 3 on 3 close-out, Scrimmage - 4 on 3. |

| 3 Coach shoots when satisfied with the defence, everyone rebounds except coach (the safety), on a defensive rebound it's 3-on-2 to the other basket, flip-flop players and repeat.
Progression - 4 on 3.
(Variations) - an attacker with the ball shoots when coach calls "shot" - coach can wave through 2 or 3, dribble to a wing, then drive middle or baseline - 2 on 1 coming back, the shooter defends, other players go off - 2 on 3 coming back. |
